Our pores are essentially passageways that lipids use to reach the surface of our skin. When dead skin cells and excess sebum block these pathways, pores tend to enlarge. Proper pore care involves removing dead skin cells and accumulated sebum, followed by soothing the skin.

For this initial stage of skincare – pore care and exfoliation – we used ingredients from the earth, our birthplace. We made sure to draw on the essential ingredients of red beans and kaolin, which have been used since ancient times. Kaolin effectively absorbs sebum, while red bean extract and powder help exfoliate and refine skin texture.

The moisturizing clay formula helps absorb sebum and remove waste without drying or tightening the skin. At the same time, the mask feels refreshing and soothing.

Red beans have been an important herbal ingredient throughout Korean history as well as a beloved skincare ingredient. Joseon women, who laid the foundation for skincare aimed at creating clear, clean skin, used mash and red beans ground together to wash their faces. The rich saponins found in red beans absorb sebum and exfoliate the skin without any synthetics.
